Extruding

We at SCHIEMA can also do extruding for you. Read more here!

At SCHIEMA, we specialize in the extrusion of high-quality rubber and plastic profiles. Thanks to our own modern production department, we can efficiently deliver custom work tailored to the specific wishes and requirements of our customers.

What is Extrusion?

Extrusion is a technique in which rubber or plastic granules are pressed under pressure through a specially shaped die. During this process, a continuous profile with a constant cross-section is created, which can be hollow or solid. The shape of the die determines the final profile, making virtually any desired shape achievable. After extrusion, the profiles are cooled and – if necessary – further processed or cut to size.

Customization in Shape, Material, and Properties

At SCHIEMA, we supply extruded profiles in a wide range of materials, shapes, lengths, and hardnesses. Depending on the application, we recommend the most suitable material, such as EPDM, NBR, silicone rubber, PVC, or thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). Whether you are looking for a flexible sealing profile, impact-resistant protection, or a heat-resistant solution: we always offer a suitable extrusion solution. Our extrusion profiles can have the following properties, among others: Wear-resistant and durable Weather-resistant and UV-resistant Oil and chemical resistant Temperature resistant (from -60°C to +250°C depending on material) Flexible or rigid, depending on your application
