What is Die-cutting?

Die-cutting is an efficient processing technique in which precisely shaped parts are cut from sheet material – such as rubber or plastic sheets. This technique is ideal for both small and large series, and provides a solution when consistent quality and dimensional accuracy are essential.

At SCHIEMA, we have modern die-cutting machines with which we offer various die-cutting methods:

Full-cut

In this process, the material is completely die-cut. The products are cut directly from the base material.

Semi-cut

With this technique, the material is partially punched through. The parts remain attached to the material via small connection points and can be easily detached.

Kiss-cut

In this method, only the top material (for example, rubber or plastic) is punched through, while the paper or film backing remains intact. Ideal for products that need to be easily processed or applied.
